H.E Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta of Kenya declared the winner of the presidential election by the electoral official with 98% of the total votes casted. Recall that the first election which held in August was nullified by the court claiming it was marred with irregularities. 

Gambia: Over $ 70,000 Dollars Withdrawn From GAF’s Bank Account At Trust Bank Gambia LTD

According to bank insiders, over $70,000 dollars have been withdrawn from the said account since Mr. Kinteh was hired as CDS. At one given occasion, an amount of $27,000 dollars was withdrawn from the account. This was the time when CDS Kinteh travelled to Turkey, and Germany. According to sources, officers who took part in international observer peacekeeping missions are required to deposit an amount of five thousand dollars ($5000.000) into the Trust Bank GAF account upon their return to the country.

Tinubu debunk Cabal in Aso Rock

The national leader of APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has dispelled the rumour of an existing cabal in President Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet, saying it was both myth and fake news. Tinubu spoke with State House Correspondents after a closed door meeting with Buhari ahead of the party’s caucus meeting in Abuja. It has been revealed how the United States (U.S.) planned to kill late Cuban leader Fidel Castro between 1959 and 1960. Among the thousands of records released Thursday by the National Archives in relation to the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy was one file labelled “Top Secret,” containing a memo with explicit details of U.S. plans for bumping off long-time Cuban leader Fidel Castro. The CIA had been involved in assassination plots against the communist leader as early as late 1959 or 1960, the New York Daily News reported, citing the now unclassified documents.

NNPC to Ibe Kachikwu - Baru breached no law on $25b contracts

INEC to begins officers training on Wednesday for Anambra poll

As part of effort to ensure a credible governorship election in Anambra State on Nov. 18, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), will on Wednesday commence training for different categories of officers that will participate in the poll. The acting Director-General of The Electoral Institute (TEI), Dr Sa’ad Umar Idris, saidin a statement on Friday the training would commence on Oct.11 and end on Nov. 15, in Awka, the state capital.
