Nigeria will lose billions if TB Joshua relocate Church — Experts warns

Some stakeholders in the tourism sector on Sunday advised the Federal and Lagos State Governments to dissuade Pastor Temitope Joshua, popularly known as, TB Joshua, from relocating the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) to Israel from Nigeria. They told the News Agency of Nigeria that Nigeria would lose billions of naira to religious tourism if Temitope Joshua and SCOAN should make the plan real. NAN reports that  TB Joshua, during one of his church services , recently said that he was planning to relocate to Israel from Ikotun, a suburb of Lagos. It was reported that TB Joshua was in Israel recently where he held meetings with the mayors of Jerusalem, Tiberia and the Jordan Valley.

Nigerian priest becomes Apostolic Nuncio to Ireland

Pope Francis has appointed  archbishop Jude Thaddeus Okolo,  a Nigerian priest as apostolic nuncio to Ireland for the first time. The position of apostolic nuncio is the Vatican’s diplomatic representative in Ireland. The 60 year old archbishop is due to take up the role during the summer after relocating from Kano, Nigeria. Archbishop Okolo was born in 1956 and ordained a priest in 1983. He holds a doctorate in canon law. His first assignment in the Diplomatic Service of the Holy See was in Sri Lanka.

Since Wednesday, 8th February, 2017, the world attention was turned to Auchi, Edo State, Nigeria, for the 2017 'The Ebenezer' programme in commemoration of the 13th anniversary of Omega Fire Ministries.  The programme themed 'From Glory To Glory' is not only aimed at redeeming straying souls and restoring the well-being of people, it is also targeted at destroying evil machinations in the lives of people across all ages, statuses and races. Prophecies and healing miracles characterized the first three days of the crusade. One of the significant cases was that of a 2-day old baby who was adopted by the compassionate man of God, Apostle Johnson Suleman.
