Buhari Working From Home Office Because Rodents Ravaged Main Office – Presidency
The Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Mallam Shehu Garba, has disclosed that the President’s office was ravaged by rodents during Buhari’s medical vacation in London which lasted over a hundred days.
Since his return on Saturday, President Buhari has been working from his official residence with his handlers explaining that the development was as a result of ongoing “renovations” in the President’s office.
Speaking in an interview with THISDAY, Shehu explained that: “following the three months period of disuse, rodents have caused a lot of damage to the furniture and the air conditioning units”.
Stressing that it was impossible for his principal to operate from the office in that condition, the presidential spokesman assured that this would not affect the effectiveness of Buhari’s work since the residence has an annex to the office.
He however stated that the maintenance company in charge of the work has been asked to speed up its pace of work.
