Apologize to Nigerians over False claims- PDP tells APC-led FG
The Official PDP Nigeria has took to twitter to slam the Federal government over its recent approval of $1b to fight the insurgence in the Northeast, the approval was done following the permission of the states Governors through the Chairman of the Governors forum Gov. Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara State during the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting held on 14th of December presided by the Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.
In the statement released by @OfficialPDPNig call on @nassnigeria to interrogate the disbursement since the APC led Federal government has earlier told Nigerians that the insurgents were defeated.
The approval and release of $1B by the APC led Federal Government under the guise of fighting insurgency in the Northeast is questionable and alarming. Meanwhile, the Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has distanced himself from those who approved the funds.
From his statement:
"For posterity sake, I wish to place it on record that I was not among the governors, who approved the withdrawal of $1bn, almost half of our savings in the Excess Crude Account, which belongs to the three tiers of govt to fight an already defeated Boko Haram".
